As some of you may be aware, last year I held the first annual #ScaryMovieMonthAtDCM. It was a month consisting entirely of horror related content, including an all new background for the site. With the exception of the live tweeting of The Shining, it was a success. Or at least I thought it was. This year it's back and better than ever. Starting October 1st, expect daily horror-related content to be uploaded to the website. Reviews, articles, podcasts and maybe something else.... something a little special. I say maybe because it's probably never going to happen BUT IT MIGHT. So stay tuned.
Unlike last year, the second annual #ScaryMovieMonthAtDCM (a hashtag that you can feel free to use on all social media platforms, but if it's anything like last year only 3 of you actually will) will have a pattern. Sort of. Last year was a month of random, unsuspecting horror reviews. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but this year I've come with a plan. What is that plan, you ask Well, here you go:
October 1st - October 10th: Classic horror movies. Not just any classic horror movies, but mostly (and please take note of my use of mostly. Not all) horror classics that have had remakes.
October 11th - October 20th: The remakes. Love them or hate them, remakes are a thing, and I'm subjecting myself to ten days of them. You should probably put me in your prayers.
October 21st - October 30th: GOOOOOOOORE! Blood, guts, violence and brains. You name it, I'll watch it. Should I watch The Human Centipede? Hmmm possibly. I guess you'll have to check back in to find out. And in case you're an idiot, that hint totally means I am. Get hyped.
October 31st: TBA. Make sure to listen in to my bi-weekly podcasts to find out if anything's going down on the day of all days. The scariest of them all. The horror lover's wet dream- wait, what?
So there you have it. The plan for the second annual #ScaryMovieMonthAtDCM. Make sure you bring a spare pair of pants.
